We love being at Festival One!
This year it will take place between Friday 25 and Monday 28 January at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. We really enjoy the event, which has been described as “New Zealand’s ultimate summer festival celebrating the creative arts, Christian music and community and creating spaces for friends to make more friends”. If you are going this year, we would love you to come on over and say, “Hi!” See our operational Mission Aviation Fellowship aircraft and sit in the pilot’s seat. A team of staff and volunteers from MAF New Zealand will be on hand to share insights into MAF’s work around the world.
This year we are in two locations:
OUTSIDE: See our Cessna 206 (a real operational MAF aeroplane) that flew overseas or 30 years, first in Cambodia and later in the remote far north of Australia. One of its roles in New Zealand is to help train and prepare pilots for the challenging conditions they will face overseas.
Don’t forget to make a team of five and take part in the famous “Challenge”…it’s lots of fun but we can’t tell you too much, that would be giving it away! Just come on over and we will let you know how to enter. The prize is a scenic ride for the team in our Cessna 206 (not during the Festival however).
INSIDE: Chat with us in the Precinct. Sit down and hang out for a while, ask your questions and let us share about MAF’s amazing ministry in over 30 countries around the world. Talk to us about your possible role with MAF. We need a lot more than pilots! We are looking for IT people, financial managers, as well as people with skills in logistics and planning. Maybe it’s time for you to take up your own “challenge” in 2019? Maybe God has something special planned for you?
With a fleet of 135 aircraft in 30 countries, Mission Aviation Fellowship partners with hundreds of aid agencies and Christian organizations to bring essential services, medical teams, emergency food and resources into some of the most remote and challenging places on earth.
See you there!!
