FLYING FOR LIFE CHARITABLE TRUSTThe Trust supports MAF’s life-saving projects overseasand are now eligible for tax refunds.
Since April 2017, MAF New Zealand has approval as an Overseas Tax Donee organisation through the newly formed Flying for Life Charitable Trust. Donations gifted for overseas will be sent through this Trust enabling the donor to receive tax deductibility for the gift. Donors are able to claim back through Inland Revenue, via a tax return, up to 33% of that gift.
33% Tax Return On Donations Gifted To Overseas Projects
The Trust will support various MAF projects overseas such as flights in PNG for educational materials, Aviation fuel for MAF aircraft, medical evacuations, disaster relief, and many more. Gifts will be sent for projects in countries like Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Sudan, Nepal, etc.
The Charitable Trust is supporting these overseas projects in:
- Papua New Guinea: Medivac flights
- Timor Leste: Medivacs flights
- South Sudan: Flights for Medair
Tax deductible receipts are available at the end of each financial year (31 March).
The Flying for Life Charitable Trust is a registered Charity, number CC41476, with its own Trust Deed and Board of Trustees.
