Country Director | PNG
MAF is looking for a strategic and driven Country Director to help spearhead our mission to share the love of Jesus Christ by providing humanitarian aviation and related technology to transform individuals and move them towards the fulfilment of basic needs and spiritual transformation in PNG. As the Country Director – PNG, your role is to direct MAF's PNG strategy and successfully navigate a significantly diverse, impactful, and changing environment. You will need to work with local partners, regulatory authorities, and country officials to achieve the programme strategies and goals. Regional Communications Manager | Asia Pacific
We are currently looking for a Communications Manager for our Asia Pacific region who will take the lead in overseeing the capture and provision of a frequent and detailed flow of information from the MAF Asia Pacific Programmes to the wider MAF Community. The Regional Communications Manager will lead MAF's communications efforts in the Asia Pacific region. The preferred location for this position is in one of MAF International’s Asia Pacific bases of operation.
As the AP Regional Communications Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
Creating innovative communication campaigns and content to inspire and recruit individuals to serve the least reached communities.
Leading communications activity across the Asia Pacific region, including developing communication strategies, managing social media channels, and working with local communications representatives.
Building strong relationships with local teams, the global communications team, and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with the global communications team to align strategies and messaging.
Working across cultures and demonstrating sensitivity to different cultural contexts.

Head of Maintenance | Australia
We are looking for a Head of Maintenance to join our Australian Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO), which covers our operations in Mareeba, Arnhem Land, and Timor Leste.
As a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities and ensuring the safety and airworthiness of our fleet. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship for the maintenance team.
As the Head of Maintenance, you will be responsible for:
Managing the AMO (Australian Aircraft Maintenance Organisation) team, facilities, equipment, and stores to maximise the availability and reliability of our aircraft
Ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory procedures and standards
Developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans and budgets for the AMO
Fostering a generative safety culture and a customer-centric approach within the AMO
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to the maintenance staff
Engaging with the wider aviation industry to keep up with best practices and innovations
Resourcing maintenance activity across all AMO locations in coordination with the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Operations Supervisors
Leading workload review and planning to ensure sufficient personnel availability and deployment for maintenance tasks

School Teachers | PNG
Vital to the work of MAF and other mission organisations on the field, is the education and preparation of the next generation.
Numonohi Christian Academy, Highland Christian Grammar School and Ukarumpa International School, have a critical need for primary and secondary school teachers. Teachers in these schools nurture the growing faith of students whose parents, both local and international, have committed themselves to the unreached peoples of Papua New Guinea.
We welcome all enquiries for 2024 - 2025. The greatest needs for next school year are high school science or math teachers, as well as foreign language teachers (such as German, Spanish and French) and elementary teachers.
These roles offer the opportunity not only for classroom teaching with bright and dedicated students but also for curriculum development and lesson planning with Biblical integration. Teachers also have the opportunity to live in vibrant communities with their fellow teaching staff and the wider community while building authentic and meaningful relationships with students as they grow and learn together.
Adhering to the pre-existing curriculum, management of classroom and student discipline will be expected, as well as attendance at staff team meetings and professional educational activities. Finance Manager | Arnhem Land
This is no ordinary desk job!
As a senior management team member in our Arnhem Land programme, you are at the sharp end of transformation as you work with our partners to reach isolated communities.
You will be part of a team that is instrumental in helping MAF to achieve its vision. You will ensure all financial activities in the programme are carried out within the approved annual budget and monitor internal control systems, taking corrective action where necessary. In addition, you will monitor and protect the financial and legal health of Arnhem Land Operations. This will include ensuring MAF's financial dealings comply with Australian tax law, overseeing internal management accounts and completing external financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing financial transactions on a day-to-day basis.
Overseeing the programme's credit control.
Preparing annual budgets and overseeing the end-of-year activities.
Provide financial information and advice to our Programme Director and other department managers, including advising on the financial implications of proposals discussed.
Managing the working capital and cash flow of the programme and reporting financial results and data to the support office in Cairns as necessary.
Managing the financial risk by implementing and maintaining accounting systems and internal controls that comply with MAFI finance manuals.
The role will require good communication skills, as liaising with lawyers, accountants and other advisors may be required.
Head of Quality and Safety - Technical Operations | Uganda
The Head of Quality and Safety of Technical Operations will maintain the quality assurance programme and the safety management system in the MAF Uganda AMO. The role requires the overseeing and running of an effective Quality Management System, ensuring that MAF Uganda AMO remains in compliance with applicable UCAA and MAF requirements whilst promoting a Quality Culture and maintaining Just Culture processes within the Technical Operations department.
The successful candidate will develop and execute an annual quality plan, including an audit schedule, carry out an annual QMS review process in accordance with the quality manual, including the identification and highlighting quality, safety, security and reliability trends within technical and base operations and ensure these are relayed to the relevant operations team in a timely manner. The role requires engagement in the maintenance department leadership team, advising and providing independent reports to the Accountable Manager and MAF senior management on issues pertaining to Quality and Safety, including detailed analysis of quality and safety reports and trend analysis.
Maintenance Operations Supervisor | Mareeba or Arnhem Land
We are looking for two Maintenance Operations Supervisor's (MOS) to join our team; one in Mareeba, the other in Arnhem Land. You will be part of the Technical Operations team and responsible for leading and managing aircraft maintenance staff, local facilities, and equipment to maximise availability of assets for mission by ensuring effective and efficient maintenance practices in accordance with organisational and regulatory procedures.
