MAF Technologies Technician | Bougainville

As a Technician with MAF Technologies, you’ll play a crucial role in providing and maintaining communication and power solutions in some of the most remote parts of Bougainville. From installing HF radios and solar power systems to supporting clients with technical know-how, this role is all about keeping vital systems running — and serving communities where help is needed most.

 Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair solar, electrical, radio (HF/VHF), and IT systems.

MAF Technologies Manager | Bougainville

This is an exciting and purpose-driven role that supports the Country Director in leading the vision and implementation of MAF Tech projects in the beautiful and remote Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB).

To enable MAF to do this critical work, we are in urgent need of Primary School Teachers to be seconded to Juba Christian Academy. JCA is a small but growing mission school that strives to provide high quality international education in a loving Christian environment. The school primarily serves the children of families in Juba working with MAF, SIL and other mission organisations. Without this school, MAF pilots and managers with young families would be unable to commit to working in South Sudan.

Our PNG Programme is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager (Aviation) to serve as the legal Accountable Manager in accordance with CAR Part 119. Finance Manager | PNG

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a new and exciting challenge? MAF International are looking for a new member of staff to join the finance team in our Papua New Guinea programme. 

Responsibilities

You will be assisting in the preparation of the programme's annual financial plan, based on the tactical plans of the programme.  Day to day you will be completing the financial monthly accounts including re-forecasts to the end of the year, overseeing the recording of financial transactions and reviewing month end reconciliations. Your attention to detail will be outstanding, with a methodical approach to your work you will also be required to be organised in your work habits. You will be required to lead a small team in the finance department. The role will require some travel to remote bases to conduct internal audits along with spending time in both offices.

  • Strong aptitude in verbal and numerical reasoning

  • Demonstrated knowledge and operational proficiency in aircraft performance and loading, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weather, aircraft instrumentation, crew/cockpit resource management, pilot decision making, safety and quality systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience and recent proficiency in operating small aircraft and single-pilot operations to CPL standards

  • Experience in commercial or corporate aviation is highly recommended

  • IFR Operations experience

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Secondary School completion certificate

  • Completion of approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course

  • ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence without type rating

  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience (could be concurrent with obtaining licence)

  • Aptitude in verbal, non-verbal, numerical and mechanical reasoning

  • Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance

  • Understanding of Health and Safety principles

Desirable:

  • National Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence

  • Aircraft and engine type courses, as appropriate

  • Turbine or reciprocating engine experience
