PRAY WITH US

MARCH

Sunday 1 - Saturday 7

  • Pray for three of our missionary families who are currently on home assignment. Pray for safe travels, that their presentations to their supporters go well and that they can have time of rest and refreshment.

  • Pray for the tense situation in South Sudan, with fighting happening in the north of the country. Pray for His peace to cover South Sudan, and for safety over everyone that calls South Sudan home.

  • Continue to pray for the families affected by the devastating events at Mount Maunganui in late January. Pray for peace and His comfort to surround them.

Sunday 8 - Saturday 14

  • Give thanks for all the women who serve with MAF in various roles. Pray especially for women raising children on the mission field, that God will guide them and give them strength.

  • Pray for the new MAF programme in Bougainville that has been launched. Pray for the team heading up this project, for strength and wisdom whilst they get the programme off the ground.

  • Pray for child-headed families in refugee camps in Uganda, that He would provide for them and they would get the support they need.

  • Give thanks for MAF flights making it possible for teachers in places like Arnhem Land to arrive in their destinations when flooding has made roads impassable.

  • Praise God the airfield upgrades in Kajjansi, Uganda have started. Pray for the team that has relocated to Entebbe that God will help them with any logistical challenges.

Sunday 15 - Saturday 21

  • Praise God for the flights that took place to bring food and other essential supplies to isolated communities in the East Cape of New Zealand. Pray for Kai Aroha, the charity that donated these goods, that He would continue to provide for their impactful work.

  • Pray that women affected by fistula in Tanzania would hear about the treatment offered by MAF’s partner Maternity Africa and have the courage to come forward for surgery.

  • Pray for the Mareeba team who still have a vacancy for a Quality Manager which is being covered by another staff member.

  • Praise God for programmes in Chad, Guinea and Madagascar that are French speaking. Pray for God to knock on the hearts of those with the ability to speak fluent French to be called to mission in these places.

  • Praise God that power generators have been upgraded to support the MAF team in Papua New Guinea. Pray that this will make their operations run smoother.

Sunday 22 - Saturday 28

  • Give thanks for the work MAF is doing in Mali and other countries to bring clean drinking water to isolated communities. Pray for those who are helping drill wells in Mali, that He gives them strength and they can continue sharing His hope through this work.

  • Praise God that MAF has completed the first in a series of installations of high frequency radios and solar power systems in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. Pray that our ambition over the next three years to equip 21 remote health clinics across the region will be realised.

  • Give thanks for the safe arrival of two Cessna 206 aircraft in Ecuador after their service in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

  • Pray for the team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as they urgently need more staff and are now looking in new directions to find suitable candidates.

  • Give thanks for MAF’s programme in Chad who are celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year. Pray for the team as they continue to bring help, hope and healing to the people of this nation.

Sunday 29 - Saturday 4

  • Pray for the new service established on an island near Kalimantan, Indonesia. MAF will support the local church there and provide air ambulance services.

  • Some of our New Zealand team will be at both Warbirds over Wanaka and Southern Easter Camp this weekend. Pray for fruitful conversations and that those that interact with us will support MAF.

  • This Easter week, we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Give thanks for the sacrifice He made and pray for the world to receive the mercy of Christ.
