PRAY WITH US
JULY
Sunday 5 - Saturday 11
Praise God for a CURE flight and outreach in northern Kenya. The people in these communities are often stigmatised for disabilities, so pray that these flights can continue to bring medical access to this area.
This week World Kiswahili Language Day is celebrated – which is spoken widely in East, Central and Southern Africa. Praise God for the work MAF is doing in Africa, and that the Gospel is clearly communicated through this language in every place it is spoken.
Praise the Lord for the new Suzuki car that the Liberia team received in April.
Sunday 12 - Saturday 18
This week International Day of Hope is celebrated. Praise God for the work MAF is doing to bring hope to the most isolated places. Pray that everyone that MAF serves would have a renewed hope in Jesus and for their future.
Pray for the team in South-East Asia as they recruit a new cohort of flight students to begin in September.
Pray for those affected by the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Pray for those being ministered to through the MozMed programme in Mozambique. After several years of this medical service, this year the team is intentionally sharing the gospel to everyone who is touched by this service.
Sunday 19 - Saturday 25
Give thanks for a recent outreach with Pamoja clinic in Tanzania. Many were treated including mothers and babies, and people with knee, eye and ear concerns.
Pray for the hangar project in Bunia, East Democratic Republic of the Congo, as they work with local architects and contractors to develop the drawings.
Give thanks for the MAF team, donor and partnerships that brought solar lighting and HF radio to a health centre in the Carteret Islands, as well as other health centres, in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.
Give thanks for the team in Arnhem Land who have had their first senior student from Yirrkala school for a work experience placement at the office. Pray for student Stephanie as she hopes to one day work for MAF.
Sunday 26 - Saturday 1 August
Pray for the MAF International communications team as they navigate permissions and obstacles to access people’s stories in remote locations.
Pray for those affected by severe flooding in places like Benguela and Namibe, Angola, where there has been loss of life.
Give thanks for a new pilot family joining the team in Chad.
