Sunday 2 - Saturday 8
Give thanks that work can now begin on the other half of Kajjansi airfield, Uganda.
This month we have our “Fuel for Father’s Day” campaign happening in churches around the country. Pray that people are inspired to give to help fuel MAF aircraft, and for MAF to be made more known in New Zealand.
Pray for unity among believers in Matsaile, Lesotho, where the Lesotho Mountain Discipleship missionaries minister, with assistance from MAF.
Pray for the church in Comoro, Papua, Indonesia. Throughout Papua the grandchildren of some of the first converts to Christianity have not continued in the faith. A missionary recently visited the community to encourage new believers to stand firm.

Give thanks for the members of the Quality, Safety and Security team who are dedicated to safe working environments.
Give thanks for a recent MAF flight in Tanzania, which took a team from “Help with the Maasai” away from dangerous flooding that made roads impassable.
Continue to pray for the people of Bougainville as they recover and rebuild after Cyclone Maila.

Give thanks for the pilot training currently taking place in the South Sudan programme.
This week World Humanitarian Day is celebrated. Praise God for NGO’s around the world who are working to help those in crisis and poverty. Pray for the protection of MAF staff and partner organisations we work with.
Pray for peace in Milingimbi and Elcho Island, Arnhem Land. There have been two deaths this year due to community violence.
Give thanks for the MAF engineers in Mareeba as they overhaul and repaint an Arnhem Land GA8 aircraft.
Give thanks for a recent outreach flight to Enairebuk, Kenya. MAF flights are supporting community organisation RedTribe who are passionate about improving education, healthcare and supporting new businesses for sustainable development.

Lift up every programme that is looking to forge new partnerships or meet government officials and people of influence. Let’s pray for favour for meetings and connections that will extend the work of MAF.
Give thanks for a medevac flight from South Sudan to Uganda for 88-year-old frequent flyer, Sister Bianca, after blood circulation in her right arm was cut off.
Give thanks for the long-awaited but imminent arrival of an avionics technician to join the Uganda programme. Pray for the family as they relocate from Zimbabwe to Uganda.
SEPTEMBER
Sunday Aug 30 - Saturday Sept 5
Pray for supplies in Mozambique. A cyclone disrupting fuel transportation has slowed MAF’s ability to fly for several weeks.
Continue to pray for our programmes that are remaining vigilant and follow Ebola protocols. Pray for an end to the outbreak and for recovery for those affected.
Praise God that more than 50,000 people in Chuave District in Papua New Guinea have improved access to life-saving vaccines following the installation of a solar-powered vaccine fridge at Chuave Rural Hospital.
Give thanks for the hope that is brought to families in Uganda and South Sudan through MAF’s partnership with CURE. Children who were living with conditions such as hydrocephalus and spina bifida are being given a new chance at life.

Praise God for Mark Fox’s faithful service to MAF over 18 years as CEO. Pray for Mark as he begins this next season following his retirement in July, asking God to guide, strengthen, and richly bless him and his family.
Praise God for the opportunity to serve the local church in Kalimantan, Indonesia. MAF flew church leaders to and from a conference.
Sunday 13 - Saturday 19
Continue to pray for the Kajjansi airfield project moving into its final stage in Uganda. Praise God that he has seen this project through to this point and pray for a successful completion.
A group of young people with our Co-Pilot programme are heading to Papua New Guinea at the end of September on a mission trip. Pray for final details and logistics and for God’s provision as each team member raises the funds needed to take part.
Sunday 20 - Saturday 26
Pray for a peaceful lead up to the general election in Papua New Guinea in 2027.
Monday is International Day of Peace. Pray for the people MAF serves who are affected by war and conflict, for God’s protection and peace over them. Pray for safety for MAF staff operating in these areas.
Please pray for teachers to be called to MAF to provide education and support for the international schools attended by MAF children.
Give thanks for the monthly maternal clinic in Haydom, Tanzania which is strengthening families by providing training to help improve the health and well-being of the community.
Sunday 27 - Saturday Oct 3
The Co-Pilot missions trip starts this week! Pray for safe travels as they fly, and for hearts to be set on fire for missions.
Praise God that ministry workers in Papua New Guinea are now equipped with valuable computer skills, enabling them to work more efficiently and effectively in sharing God’s Word with people in their communities.
The hangar relocation project has now commenced at the airport in Dili, Timor-Leste. Please pray that this project will proceed smoothly with minimal disruption to MAF’s medevac service.
Pray for two New Zealand families who are tracking to the mission field next year. Pray for courage and confidence as they start raising support, and that many people will support them both financially and through prayer.
