PRAY WITH US

APRIL

Sunday 5 - Saturday 11

  • Praise God for the resurrection of Christ. Pray that He will help us all to carry the joy of Easter with us and for us to be filled with His love and peace.

  • Give thanks for MAF’s maintenance staff keeping facilities clean, hangars tidy and airfields ready for take-off, along with so many other duties.

  • Give thanks for missionaries from Africa Inland Mission who recently flew with MAF to spread the gospel to unreached people groups in South Sudan.

Sunday 12 - Saturday 18

  • Pray for communities in Bukasa, Uganda, who have recently received Bibles in their language for the first time. Pray the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to them in a powerful way.

  • Give thanks for MAF Technologies distributing audio bibles. There was joy when a blind grandfather was given access to the gospel.

  • Give thanks for MAF’s partnership with the Ministry of Health and ambulance team in Timor-Leste. This partnership has strengthened community service and helped with staffing capacities.

  • Give thanks for two new teachers who arrived in Dodomona, Papua New Guinea by MAF plane. Pray for them as they begin their new roles in this isolated community.

Sunday 19 - Saturday 26

  • Pray that the MAF NZ office team will find new productive ways to spread the word about MAF so that people will partner with the ministry.

  • Pray for two women who were recently medevaced from Lebakeng, Lesotho.

  • On ANZAC Day, we remember the courageous soldiers who served and died in war. Thank God for them, and pray for strength and hope for those currently suffering through warfare and violence.

Sunday 27 - Saturday 2 May

  • Praise God that MAF-funded solar lighting kits are enabling health workers in remote Myanmar villages to offer treatment at night without relying on flashlights from mobile phones.

  • Give thanks for the Timor-Leste team who flew more than 300 medevacs in 2025. MAF reached over 1,000 people, including patients and their families.

  • The team in Guinea are working to open more airstrips. Pray that the two current airstrip rehabilitations are completed smoothly.

MAY

Sunday 3 - Saturday 9

  • Pray over the rising prices of fuel, and that our programmes would be miraculously spared from its impacts. Pray for godly decision-making for all authorities and for peace in the Middle East.

  • Pray for partner organisations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo who are training people to spread the gospel to remote communities. Many people are illiterate, and even if they can read, they lack Bibles.

  • Give thanks for a partnership between MAF and Help for the Maasai which brought school supplies, medicine, food and Bibles to Naserian schools in Tanzania.

  • Pray for two Indonesian missionaries who were medevaced from Mamit, Papua, Indonesia.

Sunday 10 - Saturday 16

  • Give thanks for the many church and mission partners flown by MAF in Chad with many opportunities for evangelism.

  • Pray that food supplies brought to clinics in Semenanyane, Thlenyaku, and Nohana in Lesotho will be a blessing.

  • Pray for preparations for two volunteers from Sweden who will spend an extended period in Papua New Guinea, working in maintenance and communications.

  • Praise God for the work MAF Technologies is doing by installing solar lighting in The Mama Waiting Hut – a safe place for expectant mothers to give birth. Pray for MAF Technologies work in providing solar lighting to initiatives like this.

Sunday 17 - Saturday 23

  • Give thanks for the Facilities and Vehicles team who have repaired six homes in Tabubil, Papua New Guinea. Due to the challenging location, it is difficult to maintain these homes and this team has been a huge blessing.

  • Pray for newly trained and experienced pilots to be called to the mission field with MAF.

  • Pray for success for a Church of England commission meeting with oil company executives in Mozambique. The commission seeks to facilitate a Christ-centered approach to conflict resolution in the rebel-afflicted regions.

  • Praise God for the work that MAF is doing to fly fistula patients to hospital for treatment. Pray for courage for isolated women suffering with this to seek help, and that MAF can continue to help these women.

Sunday 24 - Saturday 30

  • Our fundraising campaign goes live this week. Pray that this campaign will be successful, that people will be moved to contribute to raise funds for fuel.

  • The Kiunga airfield, Papua New Guinea, is being resurfaced. While this work takes place, the float plane cannot be used. Pray for this work to be completed on schedule.

  • Pray for MAF’s new partnership with ‘The One New Heart’, which aims to provide heart screening, diabetes and hypertension checks alongside the existing monthly medical outreach services in Tanzania.
