For you, it's Christmas.
For them, it's survival.

For many of us, Christmas means home.

It’s a time to be somewhere safe and familiar, surrounded by the people we love.

But this Christmas, families across Sudan have been forced to flee their homes because of violence and instability.

Many have travelled huge distances on foot, crossing borders with very few possessions and leaving everything behind.

From the safety of your home, could you help families forced to flee from theirs?

$13.55

$54.20

A journey they never wanted to make

For families fleeing Sudan, reaching safety can mean leaving almost everything behind.

Many of the refugees arriving in places like Renk in South Sudan have travelled huge distances on foot. Some have witnessed or experienced unimaginable things before leaving their homes or during their journey.

Behind every number is a person. A family. A story of what was left behind and the hope of finding safety.

MAF exists to bring help, hope and healing to people who are isolated or displaced.

Every step is for survival.

12.9 million people

have been forced to flee their homes in Sudan as of June 2026*

546 incidents of rape

across Sudan from the beginning of the conflict to April this year**

16 million people

facing severe food shortages as of April 2026***

5,000 children

are displaced every day, with attacks and violence following them****

Their Christmas Day will look very different to ours...

After losing two of his children and his father in the crossfire, Osman was forced to flee Sudan with his remaining family.

This Christmas, instead of being at home, they’ll be living under tarpaulin in a refugee camp.

They can’t turn back, and we cannot look away. Together, we could help families like Osman’s get the help they need to rebuild their lives.

Where Roads End, Flights Begin

For more than 80 years, MAF has been helping relief agencies reach isolated people in some of the world’s most challenging environments. MAF is the world’s largest humanitarian air operator.

By flying people, supplies and expertise where they’re needed most, MAF helps humanitarian organisations overcome barriers that would otherwise leave communities cut off from critical support.

Every flight creates opportunities for help, hope and healing to reach those who would otherwise remain isolated.

Delivering Help

Bringing Hope

Together, we want to raise $2.3 million

Our ambition is to reach this target for people living in isolation, like these displaced refugees.

This Christmas, your support could help MAF continue bringing help, hope and healing to isolated and displaced communities.

They can’t turn back. For them, it’s survival. Help us help them.

Donation amounts based on MAF’s most commonly used aircraft flying at cruising speed, using April 2026 exchange rates.
