Any generous donation made over the past 4 years can be claimed for a rebate of 33.3%! All you need is your donation receipts.
So if you haven't done so over the past four years, it's not too late. You can even use your rebate to give to MAF again and make an even bigger impact on isolated communities around the world!
Here's how you can do it:
Gather your donation receipts: We'll send these out in mid-April either by email or post for the tax year previous. If you need your donation receipts for year before this, simple email info@maf.org.nz and we can send these to you.
Complete a tax-credit form: You can do so by using your myIR account. If you don't have an myIR account, you can download the IR526 form here. It's simple, and the IRD will do all the calculations for you.
Receive your tax credit: Depending on when you submit your application, you should receive notification of your rebate amount within six weeks. And if you would like to make your generosity go even further, you can donate it back to MAF to make more life-changing flights possible!
