We are looking forward to coming to Hawkes Bay!
MAF warmly invites you to join us on Sunday 29 April at Hastings Airfield, Bridge Pa between 1.00 - 4.00pm.
Chat to MAF New Zealand staff and CEO Mark Fox about the work of MAF in over 30 developing nations around the world. Meet others who share a passion for missions and aviation. Come and see our Cessna 206.
This Cessna flew with MAF for 30 years, first in Cambodia and then in the remote far north of Australia. It has the capacity to carry up to 5 passengers or 400kg of freight. It is currently used to train and prepare pilots for the challenging conditions they will face overseas.
All MAF’s 206s have been modified to suit the environments in which they fly; over-size main wheels and heavy-duty nose gear are designed to withstand the forces exerted on the aircraft from rough airstrips. A large cargo pod underneath the plane allows extra freight to be carried.
One of the smallest aircraft in the MAF fleet, it is a durable, reliable “workhorse”. With a cruising speed of 222kph (120 knots) it is one of the slowest aircraft in the fleet, but its ability to land on short, rugged airstrips makes it ideally suited for MAF’S work.
We look forward to seeing you! Why not bring some friends or your home group?
